The construction project at Weissenhäuser Strand in Schleswig-Holstein, a comprehensive vacation and leisure complex on an area of 1,000,000 m², demonstrates KEM's expertise in the sustainable development and modernization of large-scale facilities and districts. By carrying out a detailed feasibility study, including technical due diligence, energy audit, energy conception and management and decarbonization measures, the way was paved for a future-oriented, ecologically sustainable infrastructure.
As part of the refurbishment of the heat supply, KEM implemented a modern biogas CHP plant and upgraded the local heating network. These measures include optimizing the media supply, increasing the plant's efficiency, significantly reducing energy costs and improving supply security and plant efficiency. By implementing a 1,000 kWp PV system and 305 kW small wind turbines, the use of renewable energies at Weissenhäuser Strand has also been significantly expanded, which both reduces energy costs and sustainably improves the carbon footprint of the overall system.
