The construction project at Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee 14 in Berlin-Moabit comprises the conversion and refurbishment of a three-winged existing building, which is used as a university building. The service includes the MEP planning KG 400 for the new building as well as the conversion and refurbishment of office space into laboratory and administration areas for the Technical University of Berlin.
The technical building services are planned for three institutes of the Technical University of Berlin in buildings 2 and 3 on the 2nd to 4th floors. These institutes include the LVT Institute for Food Technology Toxicology, the LMCT Institute for Food Chemistry and Analysis and the LMCA Institute for Food Process Engineering. Medical laboratories of protection classes 1 and 2 will be set up, including a hazardous materials storage facility.
The scope of the project includes 18 offices, 17 laboratories (including 10 laboratories of protection class S1 and 3 laboratories of protection class S2), 6 practical rooms, 10 storage rooms (including 4 industrial cold rooms and 2 hazardous materials storage rooms), 4 pilot plant rooms and a workshop on the ground floor/basement floor, which also includes an industrial cold room.
